Apple Valley Market in Berrien Springs is open again!

We are open under new ownership and management.

After the previous store closed earlier this year, Apple Valley Market was closed for several months while new ownership took over and plans were made for the store's next chapter.

We're now open in a smaller temporary format while renovations continue. Our current store is operating from part of the building while we prepare the rest of the building for a full reopening.

We're still the vegetarian grocery store you know, with many familiar products and departments, along with new additions as we build the store back up.

Finding the Current Entrance

If you haven't visited Apple Valley Market since the store closed, the entrance is different from what you may remember.

Our current entrance is at the far right side of the building when facing the building from the parking lot.

We recommend parking toward the Family Dollar side of the building so you have a shorter walk to our current entrance.

Look for the entrance closest to the Family Dollar in the neighboring building.

Our exterior signage is still being improved while renovations continue, so the entrance may be easy to miss. If you're at the far right side of the building, near the dollar store, you're in the right place.

What to expect when you arrive

Don't be concerned if you see construction or areas of the building that aren't open to customers. Our current shopping area is open and ready for you.

What You Can Shop For Now

You can shop with us now. Our current store includes:

Bakery- open and baking every day. Fresh bread is put out every day and remains available throughout the day.

Look for:

A Note for Returning Customers

If you haven't been here since renovations began, the store looks different from what you may remember.

The previous Apple Valley Market closed earlier this year. The store is now under new ownership and management, and we're rebuilding the store in stages.

We're open now, but we're not yet in the full store.

For the time being, our shopping area is located in the former Hallmark and flower shop spaces on the right side of the building. This allows us to serve customers while work continues in the main grocery area.

What About the Hot Food Bar (deli)?

Some customers may remember that our hot food bar was available when we first reopened. The hot food bar is temporarily unavailable while we move into the next phase of renovations.

As we continue preparing the full store, the hot food bar will remain closed for now. We expect to bring it back when the full store reopens.

The Full Store Is Coming

We're currently preparing the main grocery area on the other side of the building. Our goal is to fully reopen the store in early 2027.

When the full grocery area is ready, we'll have room for a much larger selection of groceries and additional products.

The current store is just the beginning. We're continuing to add products and prepare the rest of the building for full operations.

Still Vegetarian. Still Apple Valley Market.

While many things are changing as we rebuild the store, one important thing hasn't changed: Apple Valley Market is a vegetarian grocery store.

We're excited to continue serving customers who have known and loved Apple Valley Market for years, as well as welcoming people who are discovering us for the first time.

    We’re also taking cake orders again! Please call ahead to place your order and give our bakers plenty of time to prepare it. We recommend ordering well in advance, especially for larger or more detailed cakes. Cake ordering through our website will be available soon.

  • Sam’s Chicken is temporarily unavailable. It will return when the full store reopens.
